Welcome & thank you for your interest in Roydon Academy, we are proud to be known as a “home away from home” for young dancers & performers. We offer a well rounded training in numerous genres of dance (Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Commercial Jazz, Contemporary), acting and singing to individuals throughout the local area of Leigh on-Sea, Westcliff on-Sea, Hadleigh, Benfleet, Southend and Shoeburyness. 

Set-up in 2000 in Cyprus, the Academy is now based off the Broadway in Leigh on-Sea.

The school is devoted to cultivating the mental & physical wellness and instilling inspiration for the love of arts to students of all ages and abilities.
In giving children this wonderful opportunity, it is important to make sure that what they do now will have no negative effect on their bodies or minds in the future. 

 

 

The business is managed & owned by Trudy Deakin (Miller) who has been involved in the performing arts industry for over 30 years. Having previously worked for ITV (Benny Hill), BBC, Anglia TV, CYBC, RIK, Theatre & Film.

Children naturally have a hunger for movement and our classes start from 18+ months in ballet and tap for pre-school children. Vocational Training in Performing Arts Programme

Careers Guidance Policy
Intensive training & planning for your child’s future in performing arts.
Our aim is:
To ensure that students can assess their personal qualities, skills and achievements and use them to set future goals.
To prepare students through training in numerous genres of the performing arts for future funding (The average cost of a three year course is £35.000)
To enable students to identify the range of post-16 options available to them, and to use careers advice and support networks to plan and negotiate their careers pathways, setting realistic targets.
